I'm not exactly into New Year's resolutions because I believe that if there is something I would change about myself, I'd do it right away instead of waiting for the new year. But if I will make a list of resolutions for 2014, one of them would include being more adventurous with food.

That being said, I spent the first evening of January with JC. We had dinner at Thai Dara, one of the many restaurants in Kapitolyo, Pasig. It was my first time there, and my first time at a Thai restaurant ever. Know why I haven't tried Thai restos before? It's because I have a very low tolerance for spicy foods and Thai cuisine is known for being, well, spicy. Anyways, here's what we had.
 Thai Iced Tea - Php.55
 Bangkok Spring Rolls - Php.179
Bagoong Rice - Php.229

I didn't like the iced tea that much. It has this kinda sweet and then bitter taste which does not really agree with my taste buds. I thought it was kinda weird. The spring rolls were very yummy though given that it's mostly veggies inside. Also, the bagoong rice is to die for. I would definitely come back there just for the bagoong rice. On the downside, their service was a bit slow. I'd give Thai Dara two thumbs up for the delicious food with affordable prices and one thumb down for the service.

Thai Dara is located on 23 East Capitol Drive in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. Check this out for more information.
