I've always wanted to go to Macau because I've heard of its amazing architectural wonders and awesome night life. Finally, I got to visit it three weeks ago with my family. It's part of our Hong Kong trip.

On our third day in Hong Kong, we went to the ferry terminal in Kowloon, which is a good walking distance from our hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. We boarded the Turbo Jet which took us to Macau in about an hour. Round trip ferry tickets cost Hkd.320. Upon arriving, we were greeted by our tour guide who showed us around Macau, specifically in the cities of Cotai and Taipa.
what greeted us at the Galaxy Macau, located along Cotai Strip
on the third floor of The Venetian Macau which is designed to look like
Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy
and yes, there is a gondola ride, just like in Venice
photo-op with the poker-faced guard of The Emperor Macau
the square and the shops at Ilha da Taipa
a famous landmark in Macau, the Ruins of St. Paul's

I was amazed by everything I saw and experienced during the trip. I even got to play in the casino. Overall, I enjoyed what Macau has to offer. I loved the culture, the Spanish-history, and I love that you can practically go around the island for free. Yes, free because the shuttle buses don't charge anything for rides. In fact, I enjoyed Macau more than Hong Kong and I will definitely plan a return trip there. :)
