Copenhagen in Denmark is known for its vibrant and diverse cafe culture, offering a plethora of coffee shops and cafes throughout the city. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, a trendy place with specialty brews, or somewhere with a unique atmosphere, Copenhagen has something to offer for every coffee lover.
One of the cafes I tried is Cafe Kopenhag, which is located close to the city center. It's about a 10-minute walk from the central station. I went to this place because it's one of the very few places that are open for breakfast. It has a nice cozy ambiance and lots of seating.
breakfast platter |
I ordered a breakfast platter and a cup of black coffee. The platter features an assortment of breakfast food items such as bread, cheeses, cold cuts, butter, jam, a hard-boiled egg, seasonal fruits, and overnight oats. There was nothing extraordinary about the taste but overall, it was quite good and very filling. Meanwhile, the coffee tasted great and I returned the next day to grab a cup for on-the-go.
The breakfast platter costs DKK188 or a little over PHP1,500. Yes, it's pricey but as I've mentioned in a recent blog post, the cost of living in Copenhagen and other Scandinavian cities is expensive compared to other places in Europe. So when traveling to these places, expect to spend more on food and other essentials.
Overall, Cafe Kopenhag is a good place to go if you want a nice, filling breakfast and a delicious cup of coffee in Copenhagen.
