Last year, it was a huge disappointment for me, and for a lot of runners, when Nike released the dates for the Nike We Run Series and Manila was not included. The Nike We Run is one of those highly anticipated events in the running community so it was a big letdown when we did not have one last year. Especially for me, being a huge fan of the brand. So imagine my utter joy and excitement when I learned that the Nike Women's Race Series is coming here to Manila for the very first time this 2015. 
According to the press release: "The Nike Women’s Race Series will be the world’s largest race series designed for women. The races motivate runners of all levels to push their limits by offering a variety of distances — ranging from 5k to half-marathon — on epic courses in 20 cities around the world including Toronto, London and Hong Kong.

In addition to uniting a global community of female runners, every race offers something different, including exciting new courses; runner services; and access to elite athletes, music, and local cultural connections. Amongst the details designed specifically for women, runners completing each race will earn a custom finisher necklace distinctive to their city."

Exciting isn't it? I, for one, will definitely be joining this event. So save the date, ladies, and keep posted for more details! :)
