My mom was never a fan of foreign cuisine. Sure, she eats in Chinese restos but that's about it. She was never into pasta or sushi or any of that. She eats them but given the choice between foreign dishes and Filipino ones, she'd always pick the latter. Which is why I decided to bring her to Dekada during her birthday.

When I first saw Dekada during its opening, I got curious because of its ambience. It has that vintage-y feel that I'm usually drawn to. Since then, I've been looking for an opportunity to try and dine in there, and I found that my mom's birthday would be perfect for it.
Ripe Mango Juice - Php98
Sinigang na Spareribs sa Sampaloc (Spareribs in Tamarind Stew) - Php358
Tokwa't Baboy (Deep Fried Tofu and Pork) - Php148
Humabon, Ensaladang Talong at Mangga (Salad with Eggplant, Onions, Tomatoes, and
Green Mangoes served with Shrimp Paste) - Php128

We also ordered the Bangus ala Pobre which I failed to take a photo of because my sister attacked it right away. I guess she was too hungry. Haha.

Overall, we had a great dining experience at Dekada. I really loved the ambience of the restaurant because it was made to look like the interiors of an old house, like one of those Spanish colonial houses. It has a very homey feel. The service was fast and the waiters were nice. The food was especially good. I really loved the bangus (milkfish). It was very tasty. I also liked the sinigang. The mango juice served in the jar was refillable so it was really sulit. This was one of those times when I actually ordered extra rice because the food was really yummy. I'd give this restaurant two thumbs up.

If you want good Filipino food with cozy ambience, I would recommend that you go to Dekada. It is located on the second floor of Glorietta 3, right beside the entrance to Landmark. :)
