One of the most popular tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur is Aquaria. Smacked right in the city, Aquaria is home to thousands of fresh water creatures and saltwater creatures so that people can see them in their (make-shift) natural habitat and learn about them. Other than the tour, Aquaria also stages shows during feeding time for the visitors to watch and enjoy. There are different kinds of fish, some sharks, sting rays, turtles, fresh water otters, some rare insects, and then a few snakes.
Usually, this is the kind of tourist attraction made for kids but I actually enjoyed it. Maybe it's because I really am a kid at heart. Teehee. So check out some of the photos that I took.
visitors are allowed to touch these hard-shelled creatures whose name I forgot
sea turtle
how to distinguish between a male and a female butterfly
got photobombed by a sting ray
cool jellies
I found myself amazed at every water creature that I saw, especially the sting rays and the jellyfish. So to sum it all up, I had tons of fun in Aquaria. I even bought myself a cute Nemo stuffed toy to take back home to the Philippines.
So if ever you're in Kuala Lumpur, I would recommend a trip there. Age doesn't matter as this is a great attraction both adults and kids can enjoy. Aquaria is located in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, which is easily accessible via LRT. Entrance fee costs RM 50.00 (USD 15.30 or PHP 680.60). For more information, you can check their website here.
