If you want to go on a quick getaway from the city, one of the nicest and nearest places you can go to is Club Balai Isabel.

Let me take you on a quick tour.

If you want some fun under the sun, there are three swimming pools to choose from and this is just one of them. This is the Kumintang Pool, a spacious 500 sq.m. pool for kids and adults to enjoy. Just look at how inviting the water is.

I went here with friends from work so we chose to stay in the Standard Room which is good for 2-4 persons. At Php.5544 per night, it has two queen size beds, its own toilet and bathroom, a desk, a mini-refrigerator, in-room locker, telephone, a flatscreen TV with satellite cable, and complimentary bottled water and coffee. Breakfast is also included.

For the complimentary breakfast, we ate in Terraza Cafe and Restaurant. Its menu offers an array of breakfast meals from classic Filipino favorites to Continental breakfast to kiddie breakfast and a lot more. You can also choose between hot chocolate and coffee, and between fruit platter and fruit juice. Here's what I had.

I really enjoyed the breakfast part because the food was super delicious. That and it has bacon, enough said. Teehee! Overall, I had a good overnight stay at Club Balai Isabel. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. Almost everything there was pricey though, from the food to the spa services to the recreational activities. But it was all worth it.

Club Balai Isabel is just a stone's throw away from Manila, 'bout 2-3 hours of land travel. It is located in Talisay Batangas. For more information, you can check out their website here.
