Just recently, I participated in a personal make-up workshop by Expert Techniques a.k.a. Beauty Bargains. I got treated to a three-hour session of make-up basics facilitated by Ms. Kim Mercado who's the director of Expert Techniques. I got to learn about my skin type, my face shape, what colors look good together, how to highlight and hide some facial features, how to groom eyebrows and so much more. After learning the basics, we used what we learned to apply make-up for an everyday look followed by a photo shoot. Here are some of the photos that I took during the session.
My very messy, err, battle gear.
With Ms. Kim.
I had fun during the workshop. I met new people, and learned more about skin care and make-up. And perhaps my most treasured learning that day was about contouring the eyes. LOL. I can be very shallow like that. Hahaha.
Learn more about Expert Techniques and their make-up workshop series on their Facebook page here. And if you also wanna join one of their workshops, you can inquire there. You know, I might post some pictures from the photo shoot once they e-mail it to me. Might. It depends if they turn out okay. :P

That sounds (and looks) like a lot of fun. I'd love to do something like that :)

DeleteThis looks like a lot of fun - and great to just gain more knowledge and insight into makeup! I need to learn how to contour and just step my game up a little - I'm constantly doing the same makeup because I'm not confident in trying something new!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun. And I still need to learn more about contouring. Thanks for dropping by! :)
