Apart from planning an itinerary and booking flights, hotels, and tours, another thing we usually have to worry about when traveling is staying connected.

In this digital day and age, it's important to have an internet connection so that we can navigate through foreign cities easily, know the next schedule for the train or bus, check out restaurants, search for places to visit, and get in touch with our family and friends.

Travel SIM Card for Europe

For my Europe trips, the Snappy customizable travel SIM card was one of the most useful things I've purchased.

How the Customizable Travel SIM Card Works

This Snappy SIM card is a travel SIM card for Europe in the Philippines. It has service for multiple countries in Europe which is quite convenient if you're traveling through different countries.

I like the fact that's customizable so you can choose your preferred data allocation per day. You can choose between 300 MB, 500 MB, and 1 GB data allocation per day. Personally, I chose the 300 MB and a lot of you would be surprised because you may think that it's not much but in fact, it's more than what I needed for a day and I'll tell you why.

I got this travel SIM card just for using Google Maps and Google Search for when I'm on the go. Many public places in Europe, such as train stations, restaurants, tourist attractions, and even public parks have free Wi-Fi and you can't connect to these networks with no issues. Even trains and buses have Wi-Fi. Also, it's not like I'd be watching YouTube or Netflix while traveling and when I'm back in my hotel, there's also Wi-Fi. So yes, 300 MB was more than enough for me and I never even maximized that during my trip.

This travel SIM card for Europe offers a lot of flexibility.

You can also choose the number of days that it's valid for so you don't have to pay a hefty price for a SIM card that you won't be able to maximize. Some travel SIM cards are good for 30 days but if you're only traveling for 10 days, then you end up wasting money on something that you didn't really use.

Take note that this is a data-only SIM card and that it doesn't include call and text credits. Additionally, it only works with open-line phones so if yours is locked to a network, then you can't use this. For that, I'd recommend renting a pocket Wi-Fi device.
