I left Cambodia early in the morning to board the 8am bus going to Bangkok. From Cambodia, the expected travel is around eight hours but in my case, it took longer than that because of the long queue at the immigration counter entering Thailand. We were in the queue for more than two hours, which I spent chit-chatting with other passengers on the bus.

Finally, we arrived in Bangkok at around 7pm. I split a cab going to Khaosan Road with two other people because it would be cheaper that way. From Khaosan Road, I went to my hostel which was roughly a 10-min walk away. I got settled in and then went out to go to Khaosan Road for dinner.

Khaosan Road is famous for its night life. Along the road are food carts, vendors of all sorts of things from souvenirs to clothes, and bars and restaurants left and right.

After a quick dinner of yummy pad Thai, I decided to go home early and take a rest because I was very exhausted from the land travel.

That's it for my first day in Thailand and the sixth day of my backpacking in Indochina. Keep posted for more blogs like this!
