One of the best ways to see Busan is from the water, and doing a yacht tour gives you a whole new perspective of the city. Tours with Yacht Tale Busan start at just around PHP659 per person, or around KRW16,000 or USD12, for a day trip, which makes it surprisingly affordable. There are also sunset and night tours that cost a bit more, but I decided to try the late afternoon option.

I joined the 5pm tour because I wanted to see the city while it was still bright, and also catch the transition into sunset. I thought it was the perfect balance since the natural light was great for photos, and the atmosphere shifted beautifully as the sky changed colors. The night tours do sound interesting, though, as they include a fireworks display – something I’d love to try on my next visit.

The tour departed from The Bay 101. From the yacht, we passed by some of Busan’s most beautiful spots, taking us around Dongbaek Island, along Haeundae, and past the striking Gwangan Bridge. We also saw Gwangalli Beach, Waterside Park, the glass towers of Marine City, and circle back toward The Bay 101.

The experience itself was really enjoyable. Drinks were provided, there was music playing, and everyone just lounged on the cushions while admiring the view. Since it’s a group tour, there were other people on board, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed and friendly. The staff also took plenty of photos for everyone, and as a bonus, you get a printed photo as a souvenir.

Overall, the yacht tour was worth it. It’s not every day you get to see Busan’s skyline and coastline from this angle, and it gave me a deeper appreciation of the city. For the price and the experience, it’s a fun activity to add to your Busan itinerary, whether you’re traveling solo or with friends.
