Go Fish is one of those places locals always recommend when you ask where to get good fish and chips in Vancouver.
It’s a casual seafood shack tucked near Granville Island, right by the water, so not only do you get fresh, tasty food, but you also get a great view while you eat. It’s popular for a reason, and there’s usually a queue, especially on nice days.
While I know they’re known for their fish and chips, the fish tacos were calling my name that day – and I have no regrets. The tacos came loaded with slaw, chipotle mayo, and generous pieces of perfectly cooked fish. Every bite was flavourful and satisfying.
I did get to try the fish and chips too (from my mom's plate), and yep – it was crispy, flaky, and just as good as everyone says.
Seating is all outdoors, so it’s best when the weather cooperates. But even on a cooler day, the view of the harbour and skyline makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal. If you’re near Granville Island and craving something fresh and local, Go Fish definitely delivers.
