If you're visiting Canada and looking for a hearty breakfast or brunch spot, Cora Breakfast and Lunch is a solid choice – especially if you’re craving something a little more indulgent. With over 130 locations across Canada, it’s a popular go-to for locals and tourists alike.

We dropped by the branch in Abbotsford during my stay, and I finally got to see what the fuss was all about. It’s a casual sit-down spot with a big menu filled with classic breakfast options, fruit-heavy plates, and a few unexpected twists.

I went for their eggs Benedict, which came with a generous serving of fries and a colourful side of fresh fruit. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise had the right balance of richness and tang. It's the kind of dish that leaves you full but not weighed down.

I also sampled one of their sweet options – chocolate pancakes, topped with banana, chocolate syrup, and powdered sugar. It was warm, fluffy, and rich without being too sweet, making it a nice treat to share.

To round it out, I ordered one of their smoothies–the one with beet, strawberry, cucumber, and mango. It was refreshing and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. You could taste the beet in it, but the fruit helped mellow it out. Overall, it was a nice way to balance out the heavier dishes.

Cora definitely leans toward the indulgent side of breakfast, but they offer a few lighter and fresher options too. It’s a good pick if you’re traveling with others and want a variety of choices. The vibe is relaxed and family-friendly, and the portions are big enough to keep you going well past lunch.
