Seoul is filled with cafes, each offering something unique, but many are in busy areas and can get quite crowded. If you’re looking for a quiet cafe away from the usual tourist spots, Huijak Cafe is worth the trip.
Located in Baekseokdong, this hidden gem sits on a hilly area, offering stunning overlooking views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s not the easiest place to find—even when you’re in the neighborhood, finding the entrance to the cafe can be tricky—but once you get there, the view makes it all worth it.
The cafe itself is simple and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, it has a museum-like vibe with tall ceilings, clean walls, and minimalist art pieces. The large windows let you take in the scenery while you enjoy your coffee, making it a great spot to relax and unwind.
Speaking of coffee, I tried their iced Americano, and it was solid—smooth, well-balanced, and just what I needed after the trek up. I also tried their cheesecake, which was just as good.
If you want to experience a different side of Seoul, away from the crowds and city noise, Huijak Cafe is a great spot to slow down and take in the view.
