One of my favorite things about Bohol is that there are so many hidden gems all over the provinces. Other than the usual tourist attractions, Bohol is also known for its waterfalls. There are at least twenty waterfalls in Bohol, some of them more popular than the others.

Camugao Falls is one of those waterfalls that I got to see while in Bohol. It is located in a town called Balilihan. From Alona Beach, it is roughly a 1-hour drive. It is on Google Maps so you can find it easily.

We did not plan on visiting this spot, but we came across directional signs, going to Camugao Falls, along the road while we were driving from E.A.T. Danao Adventure Park going back to our resort in Panglao.

We followed the signs that brought us to a parking area. From there, we paid an entrance fee plus parking fees. From the jump-off area, it was a quick downhill hike going to the falls. It took us less than 30 minutes to get there.

TRAVEL NOTES:

Expenses:
  • Entrance Fee - PHP25 per person
  • Parking Fee - PHP20 for motorbike, PHP50 for car
It was a nice side trip coming from Danao, and a perfect way to end our third day in Bohol.
