Tapa is a popular Filipino dish which is basically made of cured meat, usually beef. It is a breakfast staple best paired with fried rice and egg, and perhaps with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

Tapadera is a new restaurant in Makati that serves (yep, you guessed right) tapa as their specialty dish. While there are lots of food places out there that serves this Pinoy favorite, what Tapadera does is bring a unique twist to this dish by offering a variety of flavors.

Upon ordering, you get to choose the flavor of your tapa, the kind of rice that you want, and the way you want your egg to be cooked. Apart from this, there are several items on the menu such as Sizzling Sisig, Spicy Wings, Chicken Inasal and other comfort food. These dishes are good on their own, better with rice, and even greater with beer. You can check out their menu here.

Their tapa is very flavorful, btw, and I'd definitely come back here. A bit pricey but the servings are big and the taste is definitely worth it. My favorite would have to be their Sweet and Spicy tapa. Check out Tapadera. It's located on 9595 Buma Building along Kamagong Street in San Antonio, Makati City.
