Paluto restaurants are quite popular in Metro Manila. These are restaurants wherein you buy the raw ingredients, usually seafood and meat, fresh from the market and the restaurant cooks them for you the way that you like it. In Pasay City, there's a whole compound with lots of these restaurants with a wet market smacked right in the middle of it. It's great for lunch outs with a huge group of people.
Hong Kong Master Cook is one of these paluto restaurants in Pasay City. I got to try it on a Sunday lunch out with my family. Here's what we ended up trying.

My dining experience there so far was great. As expected, there is a bit of a long wait for the food to be served because each dish was cooked upon order. It was worth it though because all dishes were served fresh from the kitchen and still hot.
As for the taste, all of the dishes that I've tried was delicious. My personal faves would have to be the spareribs, the tempura, and the salt and pepper shrimp. The crab with the salty egg yolk was tasty but I was never a fan of salted egg, so I didn't really like it. The fruits platter was a nice surprise. It was complimentary, which they served towards the end of our meal.
Take note that the prices posted here were the fees that they charged for preparing and cooking the dishes. How much you spend on the actual raw seafood and meat would entirely be up to you. Overall, according to my mom and my aunt, the bill wasn't too high.
Hong Kong Master Cook on Building 2 of Seaside Macapagal in Pasay City. I would definitely recommend this place because of the good service and the delicious meals. Just be prepared to wait, as that's really how it is at any paluto restaurant.
