Chompi had been on my list for a while, partly because it’s owned by the brother of BTS’s Suga. I ended up stopping by while spending time in Hannam-dong. It’s a cafe and restaurant that serves mostly lighter, healthier meals.

The space has very clean, minimalist interiors with a bright and simple layout. It feels very modern, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxed. There were already a lot of people when I visited, but I managed to grab a table right away. Shortly after I sat down, the queues and crowd started building up, so I guess I arrived just in time.

The menu leans toward healthier options like poke bowls, soba bowls, soups, and sandwiches. I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl along with an iced coffee. The bowl came with a generous mix of vegetables, grains, and chicken, and it ended up being very filling.

The food was really good and surprisingly satisfying for something that looks this light. If you’re craving local Korean food, then this place is not it. But if you want a quick break from the meat-heavy, deep-fried, greasy, saucy dishes, or if you’re looking for something healthier but still flavorful, then I’d recommend this place, especially if you’re already in Hannam-dong.
