This unique park is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, especially during the spring and autumn seasons when the wildflowers are in full bloom.

What to Expect at Haneul Park

Haneul Park is on top of a hill, so you'd need to hike for about 30 minutes to get there. There's an option to take a shuttle from the parking lot. The cost is very minimal, around KRW2,000 or less for a one-way trip, which I opted for and then I did the hike on the way down.

Once you arrive at Haneul Park, you'll be greeted by a vast expanse of rolling hills covered in wildflowers. The park is especially beautiful during the spring and autumn seasons when the flowers are in full bloom. I went during summer and it was quite nice too. There are some art installations which make for photo spots. Several walking paths windd through the park, offering stunning views of the Han River and the city skyline.

If you're a fan of BTS RM, then Haneul Park is a must-visit destination as he went Namjooning here. He even posted a photo, which I sort of recreated.

In addition to the scenic beauty, Haneul Park also offers a variety of activities for visitors. You can rent bicycles and explore the park on two wheels, or simply relax. There's also a convenience store and cafe nearby where you can enjoy a meal or a drink with a view. The best part about this place is that it's free, making it a good activity to add to your itinerary if you're traveling to Seoul on a budget.

How to Get to Haneul Park

Haneul Park is easily accessible by public transportation. From your hotel, you can take the subway and transfer to Line 6, and then get off at World Cup Stadium Station. From there, the parking lot of Haneul Park is just a short walk away.

The park can get quite crowded during the weekends and holidays. If you're looking for a more peaceful experience, consider visiting during the off-peak season.
