Calling all PH ARMY! The wait is finally over! The highly anticipated BTS Monochrome Pop-Up has arrived in Manila, running from May 24th to June 30th at the SM Mall of Asia.
This pop-up store, which previously made stops in Seoul, Tokyo, and Jakarta, offers a fresh wave of exclusive BTS merchandise.
The Monochrome Pop-Up boasts a collection of must-have items for any BTS fan. You can expect to find photocard sets, printed photos, premium photos, and photos on canvas. You can also find more functional merch such as shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, storage boxes, canvas bags, rings, and necklaces. All these items are on display for you to check out before purchasing.
How It Works (Ideally)
The pop-up operates on a queuing system. Upon arrival, you'll receive an order form with your queue number. On the order form, you'll find the items listed with photos and write how many pieces you want to get. You can only get 2 pieces per item to prevent hoarding.
When it's your turn, hand the completed form to the staff who will assemble your order. You'll then wait for your number to be called again for final item verification and payment.
A Word to the Wise: Patience is Key
While the Monochrome Pop-Up promises a treasure trove of BTS goodies, the first day's experience for many fans was less than ideal. Reports of long lines, chaotic organization, and limited stock resulted in disappointment for some ARMY members who waited for hours only to leave empty-handed.
I wanted for nearly five hours because I had a long commute just to be there. I ended up getting a photocard set with 8 random photocards, a printed OT7 photo, and a water bottle, which was sooo nice. I actually like this monochrome concept because it's totally my aesthetic - I love all things black and white.

Let's hope that the next few days will see smoother operation and better inventory management, ensuring a more positive experience for all fans.
So, ARMY, are you ready to dive into the Monochrome world? Remember to pack your patience (and maybe some snacks for the wait) and head down to SM Mall of Asia to experience the BTS pop-up phenomenon.
Just be prepared for the possibility of large crowds, and hopefully, a more organized system for snagging your favorite BTS merch!
