In 2019, the Huawei Band 4 entered the Philippine market along with a line of smartwatches and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one. A lot of smart bands are being sold on the market for health and fitness enthusiasts, and here is a quick review of what the Huawei Band 4 offers.

LOOK

The Huawei Band 4 comes in a sleek, minimalist design with three colors available: Amber Sunrise, Sakura Pink, and Graphite Black. I got the one in Graphite Black. It is very light, at 24mg, and features a square display screen, which is the biggest in the market. It has three pre-installed watch faces but unfortunately does not support custom ones. It has five brightness levels, which can help prolong the battery life. It also features a small “home” button that matches the overall minimalist look of the band.

FUNCTIONALITY

The Huawei Band 4 functions both as a watch and a fitness tracker. It is water-resistant. It measures the steps you take in a day, with the calories burned. It supports different activities such as running, walking, cycling, cross-training, and rowing. It also has a Sleep Tracker and it can measure your current heart rate. It also has a feature where it vibrates to notify you if you’ve been idle for too long, which is a great feature to help you keep your daily activity in check.

It works with the Huawei Health app, which syncs the data in real-time from the band and allows you to get daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.

BATTERY AND CHARGING

The Huawei Band 4 has a 91mAh battery and when fully charged, it can last for 7-9 days, depending on the features that you use. It charges easily, without having to use a cord. Simply remove the lower strap and plug it into any USB power adapter. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to charge the band.

At Php1890, the Huawei Band 4 would be a good purchase. It packs a lot of important features for health and fitness enthusiast. And with its sleek design, it looks stylish too.
