When in Boracay, island hopping is one of those must-do activities – but we decided to switch it up a bit. Instead of going on a standard group tour with the usual stops like Magic Island, our hotel helped us arrange a private boat trip tailored just for us. It was a more relaxed half-day outing with my family, and we got to pick the spots ourselves.

Island Hopping Boracay

Our first stop was Puka Beach. The waves were a bit rough near the shore, so we didn’t go in the water, but the place was stunning and perfect for photos. The beach was quieter than White Beach, with a raw, natural feel that made it worth visiting even just for the views.

Next, we headed to Hagdan Beach, which had much calmer waters – perfect for a little swim and just floating around. There weren’t many people there, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The laid-back vibe was exactly what we needed.

We ended the trip with a snorkelling stop, and it didn’t disappoint. The water was clear, and we spotted plenty of colourful fish and coral. It was a great way to cap off the tour – short, sweet, and totally worth it.

Island Hopping Boracay

Island hopping in Boracay is definitely something I’d recommend – whether you’re travelling solo, with a partner, or in a small group. You can go on a joiners tour or opt for a private one like we did, depending on your style and budget. Either way, it’s an easy, fun way to explore more of what the island has to offer beyond White Beach.
