This year marked my second time attending BTS Festa in Seoul, and it was extra special. Not only was it their 12th anniversary, but it also happened to be the month all the members finally reunited after completing their military service. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
Festa 2025 was held over two days, June 13 and 14, and unlike last year, we didn’t have to stand under the blazing Korean summer sun. Instead, the event took place indoors at KINTEX in Goyang, which was a huge relief.
That said, the crowds were on a completely different level compared to last year. With hundreds of thousands of ARMYs flying in from all over the world, queues were already massive as early as 7am—even though the official opening was at 10. On the first day, I made the mistake of arriving around noon and quickly realized there was no chance I was getting in. The line was endless; I couldn’t even find where it ended. Since I also had Hope on the Stage that evening, I decided not to wait it out.
The next day, though, I came prepared. I got to KINTEX at around 7:30 am and was among the first few hundred people in line. Thankfully, doors opened earlier than scheduled, around 9:30am, and I finally made it inside.
The hall was packed with booths—some giving away Festa freebies, others set up by sponsors. I lined up for quite a few and ended up with a pretty good haul of souvenirs. In between, they played two different VCRs: one with Mikrokosmos and another with We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal. Both were beautifully done and definitely tugged at the heartstrings (yes, I teared up a little).
Overall, the day was fun and full of little moments shared with friends and fellow ARMYs. It wasn’t just about the freebies or the videos, but about being part of the atmosphere—celebrating BTS together for their 12th anniversary.
