Yoojung Sikdang is a restaurant in Seoul that BTS frequented during their pre-debut years. It's located in Gangnam, and just a few minutes walk from their company's old building. Every ARMY is probably familiar with this restaurant as it was featured a lot on Rookie King Channel BTS.

The restaurant is covered in photos and posters of BTS, including fan-made art. I feel like many of them were left by ARMYs when they visited. You'd also see keychains, plushies, and other merchandise displayed all over the interiors and it can get overwhelming because you won't know which spot to look at first. Even the outside is covered in BTS posters so if you're in the area, the restaurant is quite easy to spot.

We went to this restaurant a little past lunchtime and it wasn't as crowded as we expected. Since Yoojung Sikdang is located in a commercial area, it's often packed with office workers during lunchtime and dinnertime so you'd want to avoid these times of the day if you don't want to wait too long to be seated.

This restaurant features Korean dishes like bibimbap and kimchi jjigae. My friend and I got the Yoojung Ssambap which is stir-fried spicy pork wrapped in vegetables. This dish is a house specialty, and it was said it was added by the owner just for the boys. It's served with rice, an assortment of greens, and a few side dishes. Every serving of this dish is good for two people.

Now for the food... The stir-fried spicy pork dish was really good and it was one of my favorite dishes during my trip. And from sneaking a glance at the other dishes, the other dishes look good too so I could understand why this place is popular among locals in the area. Plus the sides, including the rice and leafy greens, are refillable too.

If you're an ARMY, then Yoojung Sikdang Restaurant is a must-visit if you're traveling to Seoul. For a curated BTS itinerary in Gangnam, then check out my other post.
