Hakata Ton-ichi is a chain of Japanese restaurants in Manila that offers Hakata ramen. Also known as Tonkotsu ramen and originating in the Hakata district of Fukuoka, this style of Japanese ramen is known for its rich and creamy broth, thin noodles, and simple, yet flavorful toppings.

I recently went to the Glorietta branch for the first time and here's what I tried.

Chicken Karaage

Overall, the food was good. The broth of the ramen was a bit greasy but it was flavorful, while the noodles were cooked well. I also liked that there were a lot of toppings in the ramen. The chicken karaage was quite tasty too.

I thought the pricing was reasonable as the serving sizes were good. The service was also fast and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I think I waited for just around 15 to 20 minutes, which is normal with most restaurants.

If you're in Glorietta or if you happen to come across any Hakata Ton-ichi branch in the metro, I'd recommend that you try it out.
