Nestled in the city center of Rome, just a few minutes away from Piazza del Popolo, is Goody 1976 - an old-fashioned-looking bistro that serves coffee, pastries, and breakfast and lunch dishes. It's in a nice neighborhood that's not too crowded but still close enough to some tourist spots.
It offers both indoor and outdoor sitting. And as someone who finds pleasure in people-watching in Europe, I opted for a table outdoors.
Here's what I tried.
Strozzapreti Amatriciana - strozzapreti with tomato sauce, bacon, pecorino cheese, and black pepper - €13 |
Cromoso Alla Vaniglia - cake with cream, vanilla crumble biscuits, and strawberries - €6 |
I found the food to be quite tasty. The servings were also generous. The pasta looked freshly made and authentic, which I loved. It was so creamy. I also loved the dessert. It was not too sweet and the strawberry added a touch of acidity and freshness.
The service was good and overall, their food was not too pricey. I would definitely recommend this place if ever you're in Rome.
