Apart from beautiful architecture and its rich culture, Italy is also well known for its food. Italian cuisine is popular because it's authentic, delicious, and healthy.
One of the restaurants I've tried in Rome is Taverna del Seminario. I saw this restaurant while walking around in the city center, close to the Pantheon.
The restaurant caught my attention because it has a TripAdvisor sticker on the door, which meant it was highly rated so I thought it would be worth a try.
Here's what I ordered.
bruschetta pomodoro e rucola |
bolognese - special of the day |
I got the bruschetta as an appetizer then I ordered their special of the day which is the bolognese. Both were quite good.
I loved the crunch on the bruschetta, plus the tomatoes and arugula on it were fresh. The bolognese was very tasty too, and it had generous amounts of meat. I also liked the fact that they serve a small basket of bread on the side for free.
Overall, I had a good dining experience at Taverna del Seminario. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
And the price wasn't too bad either. For everything I ordered plus the cover charge, I only paid €16.50. I thought it was quite affordable given the quality of the food and the restaurant's good location.
I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. It's a great spot if you want to take a little lunch break during your Rome sightseeing.
