I am a frustrated vegan. I love animals and I have always wanted to go vegan, but for some reason, it is just so hard to give up meat. Not that I haven't tried but to be honest, there aren't a lot of options in Manila for vegans. There are a few places where one can buy vegan food but they are quite expensive. My road to being vegan started with me easily giving up red meat. I am not a huge fan of pork and beef so it was very easy for me to stop eating them. The hard part was chicken, fish, egg, and dairy products.

Thank goodness I discovered Plate Mafia. Plate Mafia is a food delivery service that offers nothing but vegan meals from Mondays to Fridays. I decided to try them for a week and after that, I just continued ordering from them. Just to give you an idea, here are some of the meals I tried.
 vegan sinigang and seaweed rolls
 chickpea curry and chili dynamite
 tofu giniling and veggie cluster
sweet 'n' sour tofu balls and vegan spring rolls

What I love about Plate Mafia is that all their meals are very delicious yet cheap. Their "meat" taste like the real one. Their lunch meals include red rice and two dishes for only Php100, while their dinner meals include red rice and one dish for only Php80. Although to be honest, I wished that their servings of red rice could be more, but since their meals are super cheap given that red rice is a bit pricey, I really couldn't complain. What I do is cook my own red rice at home and bring it with me to work where they deliver my lunch daily. Plate Mafia delivers for free in Makati business district, Ortigas business district, and Bonifacio Global City.
