San Laksa Steamboat Restaurant was my first proper meal after arriving in Singapore. It was conveniently located very close to my hotel, and after seeing that it had good reviews, I decided to give it a try. After a travel day, I just wanted something warm and satisfying, and this felt like the right choice.

The restaurant is known for its laksa-based hotpot concept, offering rich broths and a mix of classic and herbal soup options. Since I was dining solo, I didn’t go for the full steamboat experience and instead ordered the chicken laksa. It felt like the more practical choice for one person, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint.

The chicken laksa was really delicious. It had the right level of spice, noticeable but not overwhelming, just enough to give it a proper kick. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the bowl came with generous portions of chicken and bean curd skin. The serving size was quite huge, and I didn’t even manage to finish it.

Service was also quick, which I appreciated since I was already hungry. Overall, it was a really good dining experience for my first meal in Singapore. If you’re staying nearby and craving something comforting and flavorful, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.
