When Run Seokjin Ep. Tour wrapped up in August with the Amsterdam shows, it really felt like that was the end. Or so we thought. Then on October 2 - my birthday, of all days - BitHit Music announced Encore shows for October 31 and November 1 at Munhak Stadium in Incheon.

Less than a month to go. Naturally, everyone went into a state of full panic.

After the announcement, things went quiet for a bit while we waited for details. Membership presale registration finally opened on October 14, with ticketing set for October 20.

On presale day, the queues were brutal. I entered at around 26,000, which didn’t feel promising at all. Somehow, though, I managed to secure a seat in my preferred section on Day 2, which was also my target date. I briefly checked for VIP seats but didn’t waste time fighting for it. After a couple of minutes, I clicked straight into my section, picked a seat, paid, and everything went through smoothly.

Once the ticket was secured, I booked my flights and hotel. I did think about watching Day 1 as well, but flying earlier would’ve cost me an extra PHP10,000, which was hard to justify. I decided to stick with my original plan and attend Day 2, the very last show. There was a bit of Day 1 FOMO, but I was literally on a flight when it happened, so it didn’t hit too hard.

I arrived in Seoul just after midnight on November 1 and did a very late check-in at my hotel, which I’d booked starting the night before. I got a few hours of sleep, then headed out to meet friends at the venue. We had a quick McDonald’s lunch before making our way to the booths, where we picked up our wristbands, ARMY Zone gifts including heat packs, and even managed to get merch - something I wasn’t sure would happen given how last-minute everything felt.

'Running Wild' on the track

The concert itself was incredible. Jin opened the show by actually running on the track, complete with a 'finish line' at different stops around the stadium. It was clearly his way of making sure ARMYs farther from the stage still got a good look at him, and it set the tone for the night right away. Most of the setlist stayed the same, but things changed during the BTS medley, which made the encore feel special rather than repetitive.

'Another Level' and 'Rope It', also probably the last time we'll get to see cowboy Jin

One of the standout moments was Jin singing and playing 'The Truth Untold' on the keyboard. Then came the surprise guests - V and Jimin. I hadn’t seen either of them perform live before, so this alone made the night extra special.

V performed 'Love Me Again', and then both of them joined Jin for 'IDOL,' 'So What,' and 'My Universe.' There was also an impromptu performance of “Spring Day,” which wasn’t even part of the original plan. I definitely cried here, but it was happy tears, especially during "My Universe."

'My Universe'

For 'Moon,' Jin rode a Wotteo hot air balloon, even though he’s clearly terrified of it. Once again, it was for the fans in the nosebleeds so they could see him up close. That moment really summed up who Jin is as a performer and artist - always thinking about ARMY first.

During the song, there was also a fan project where ARMYs held up yellow cardboard moons that were handed out before the show. The venue even turned off the ARMY bombs so the yellow moons would stand out more, creating what felt like a sea of moons across the stadium. Jin noticed it while he was singing and said it really touched him, which made the moment even more memorable.

The night ended, as usual, with 'To Me, Today,' which has easily become my song of 2025. It’s about being present, accepting yourself, and not overthinking what comes next - themes I relate to a lot.

Hearing it live again, especially as the final song of the entire tour, got me teary-eyed one more time, especially when I realized that it will probably the last time I will get to hear this song live. It felt like the perfect way to close the night and the perfect song to carry into the rest of the year.

bittersweet end of an era

Overall, it was an amazing night and the perfect way to close out the tour and the entire Run Seokjin era. From the surprise announcement to the final song of the encore, everything felt meaningful without being overdone. It wasn’t just the end of a tour - it also marked the close of the BTS solo era.

It was bittersweet in the best way. As much as it’s sad to say goodbye to Run Seokjin, the show and the tours, this ending also signals what comes next. Walking out of the venue, it really felt like the bridge between everything we’ve experienced over the past couple of years and the start of BTS’s next chapter.
