One of the restaurants I tried while in Paris was Cucina EAT.
Cucina EAT presents a casual and delightful market-inspired cuisine right in the heart of Paris's 7th district, just a short distance from the Eiffel Tower. This place has a charmingly rustic and welcoming ambiance, and the dishes beautifully blend the popular attributes of street food with the refinement of gourmet, all while maintaining a comfortable and health-conscious approach.
I went here on a Sunday when they serve their weekly "Cucina Eat Brunch", which is a three-course meal that consists of a starter, a main dish, and dessert. You get two to three options per course and the meal also comes with juice and coffee.
Here's what I had.
main course: smoked salmon, avocado toast with egg, salad with burrata, and overnight oats |
starter: pancakes and crêpe with jam |
dessert: chocolate lava cake |
The whole meal was really good. The pancakes and crêpe weren't the best but they were decent. The chocolate lava cake was delicious. And the best part of the meal was the main course platter. The smoked salmon was perfect, the avocado toast was tasty, and the egg on top of the toast was perfectly soft-boiled. The salad with burrata was also quite good. The overnight oats were nothing special but overall, the platter was good and everything on it worked well together.
I truly enjoyed this meal and I understood what the French meant by not rushing meals to savor your food. For €35, the whole meal was really worth it and I'd recommend dining here if ever you're in Paris.
