I've stayed in a few resorts in Siargao Island, and my one of my favorites among all the places I've stayed at was Sadhana Villas.
Sadhana Villas is located in General Luna. It is situated in a forested area beside the main road. It was a peaceful and relaxing area. Even though it is close to the main road, you could barely hear the sounds of vehicles and other noises.
I stayed there for a week. I got a villa with a queen-sized bed and an outdoor shower and toilet area. It has a Balinese feel to it. Here are some photos.
Location
The location of Sadhana Villas is really good. It is close to the heart of Brgy. Catangan and is a five-minute walk going to cafes, restaurants, and bars. It is also a five-minute walk going to the Cloud 9 and Jacking Horse area.
Amenities
The villa where I stayed has amenities that are good for long-term stays. The bathroom has complete amenities such as towels, toiletries, shampoo, and body wash.
It has a nice relaxing area outside the room with couches and a small table for dining. It has a kitchenette equipped with a small fridge, stovetop, electric kettle, basic cookware, and dining utensils. Water was also provided and refilled daily.
The best part of the villa was the outdoor toilet and shower. It had such a Balinese vibe. There's nothing quite like taking a shower while surrounded by nature in such a secluded area.
Cleanliness
Overall, the villa was very clean. They had a daily cleaning service that comes around 9am. Even the resort grounds were well-maintained.
Customer Service
The customer service was good, although it can be difficult to reach the manager at times. There was an incident when I got locked out of my room because I accidentally left the key, and I had to wait for an hour because there is no staff that stays in the vicinity. Just make sure to get the manager's phone number so you can contact them easily when you need to.
Price
One night in a villa costs P3500 to P4700. I got a good deal via Agoda for PHP2500 a night, and the room that I got was so much worth more than the price that I paid for. Even at normal pricing, I can say that Sadhana Villas is worth it.
The only thing I didn't like about Sadhana Villas is that because it's in a forest-like area, there are lots of mosquitos. So make sure to bring an insect-repellent lotion or citronella spray.
Overall, I loved my stay there. It was such a relaxing place and I really love how close it was to the beach. I would highly recommend staying here.
