On the third day of my travels, I woke up really early to take a quick shower and pack my stuff. The bus going to Cambodia doesn't leave until 8am but I decided to go to the bus station really early just so I can get settled in.

I took the Giant Ibis bus which goes from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh in Cambodia. The travel time is usually around eight hours but it varies depending on how busy it is at the border crossing. Booking my trip with Giant Ibis was a good decision because they really assist you with crossing the border from Vietnam to Cambodia. The conductor took our passports to have it stamped upon exit, and then organized us to two lines as we were entering Cambodia. Because there weren't a lot of people that day, the process went quickly and smoothly for our group.

We arrived in Phnom Penh around 4pm. I felt a bit disappointed because I really wanted to go to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum but it was already closed by then. Nevertheless, I made the most of Phnom Penh by going to all the tourist spots that I can walk to.
 Wat Phnom
 Riverside Park
 Wat Ounalom Monastery
 Royal Palace
 Wat Botum Park
Independence Monument

After hours and hours of walking, I decided to have dinner at Burger King. Yes, Burger King. I was so tired and hungry that all I was craving for that day was comfort food. When I was done with my hearty meal of fish fillet sandwich and huge ass fries, I went to the night market to check it out.

Then I went back to the Giant Ibis bus terminal to board the midnight bus going to Siem Reap, where I will be staying for the rest of the Cambodia part of my trip.
