Cardiac Hills Attack: Run for Thirdy

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

Get ready for May 21, 2017 as Active Pinas and Vista Mall Sta. Rosa, the team that brought you Run for the Angels, team up once again for another exciting running event. This time, they will also be partnering with Team Titus Athletics to bring you another run for a cause which is Cardiac Hills Attack: Run for Thirdy.

Cardiac Hills Attack: Run For Thirdy is a run for the benefit of Thirdy Salazar. Four-year-old Thirdy is the youngest son of Coach Titus Salazar. At an early age, he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. He was diagnosed with pulmonary atresia, which is the absence of the artery from the heart to the lungs, and pulmonic stenosis, which is the narrowing of the pulmonary artery. For the treatment of his condition, he will be needing a series of operations. All the net proceeds from this event will be used for the operations, through the Dios Mabalos Foundation.

The event has four categories: 21K, 10K, 5K and 1K Family. Held in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Run for Thirdy will bring its runners to a fresh new route, far from the urban jungle and pollution that is in Metro Manila. The 10K, 5K, and 1K Family runners will experience lush greenery and a scenic landscape as they enter the exclusive properties of Brittany Corporation. They will definitely enjoy having their photos taken at the route. The 21K runners, however, will experience a more challenging route. The event title will serve as your clue. But just because the route is challenging doesn’t mean that it won’t be a scenic one. Surely, the 21K runners will be delighted seeing the sights that only out-of-town races can bring.
